Summer Solstice Celebration

Join Kirtan and Vedya outside under the trees at Shuniya Yoga Collective or live-streamed online to celebrate Summer Solstice - the start of summer and the longest day of the year! 

We will focus on new beginnings for yourself and the planet. The solstice is always a time of honoring change. This solstice is just before the New Moon and just after the Solar Eclipse giving it an extra infusion of power. Use that power wisely and forgive those who are not. Watch any negative feelings of resentment or anger, and beware of the tendency to blame and to feel victimized. This is never a position of power. So choose to be responsible for your life and to embrace change.

Our special solstice ceremony will include:

*MOVEMENT to energize our prana

*MEDITATION to balance our mind and our life - “The hemispheres [of the brain] will balance; the past will be processed and dumped and insecurity will vaporize.”

*SOUND HEALING with multiple gongs and singing bowls

*COMMUNITY + LOCAL AUSTIN GOODS - if you join us in person, feel free to stay after to visit outside (with distance) and peruse local Austin goods!

Please bring any props you need to support your practice, as well as a pen and paper for journaling.
