About the Event
Join Kate for a practice that will offer a release for the head, neck, and shoulders through simple techniques that target held tension in the upper body, as well as some gentle movement. These techniques are designed specifically to focus on the soft connective tissues that surround our bodies—called fascia—that can become uncomfortable from day-to-day activities such as poor posture and repetitive movements.Â
Using just a tennis ball and our own body weight, we will work on specific areas in the upper body to provide relief from discomfort, increase flexibility, and rebuild range of motion. The techniques you will learn can then be added into your home practice or daily routine to keep feeling great!
For the workshop, we recommend bringing a few items to your mat:
—Two tennis balls (or other type of myofascial release balls)
—One sock that can fit both balls
—A yoga block, a pillow, or a stack of books - anything that can help elevate the hips securely and comfortably
—A blanket or large towel
This practice is great for all levels!
$15 per person
