Focus the Senses: A Tea & Mindfulness Series

About the Event
Tea connects us to all of our senses supporting mind, body and spirit. By sitting and mindfully preparing and drinking tea, we learn to pay attention in a way that is focused on the present moment experience. This way of being can serve us well, in stressful times especially.
Join mindfulness facilitator and tea educator, Stephanie Samuels, in a 3 part series that draws from Brown University's Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program. In this series we will use the practice of tea, focused awareness and dialogue/inquiry to connect with all of our senses and to ground and root us in the present moment.
Participants will be provided with 5 or more different teas for brewing in class. Please sign up early to ensure receipt of your teas via mail (especially if you live outside of Austin) - otherwise, you will have the option to pick-up the teas at the studio!
The 3 week series will meet via Zoom the following Sundays from 4:00 - 5:15pm CST:
***The teas are included in the series price & can be mailed to you or you can pick them up at the studio! You will receive a list of other recommended supplies for ease of participation - the series is designed to be able to use wares you already own at home, so no further purchases should be necessary.***
