About the Event
This 40 day immersion will expand your meditation practice with guidance in weekly sessions led by Siri Bahadur and the support of practitioners who will share your experience. Consistency is key with meditation and with the encouragement of community, we will make it fun and accessible to maintain a daily practice!
Together, we will focus on one mantra for 40 days. Meditating daily for 40 days will allow you to begin mastering the effects of the meditation, as well as create a life-promoting habit. It takes up to 40 days to form a new habit (or break an old one), so during our journey, you may find that you have created a habit that you won't want to miss! Whether you have attempted or completed a meditation for 40 consecutive days or if this will be your first, we are excited to embark on this journey together!
The weekly gatherings and the smaller supportive pods we establish with one another will support our daily practice. They will both enrich and empower our self concept and creative projection. We will have the chance to discover that we can investigate and make adjustments that elevate our life experience.
In this course you will:
- Explore techniques for a successful 40 Day Meditative Practice
- Develop a deeper understanding of the Meditation Kriya and its benefits
- Learn how to maintain an impactful daily sadhana
- Partner with like-minded peers for integration and accountability between sessions
- Participate in advanced group meditations and discussions
- Opportunity to attend additional small group meet-up sessions to build community and meditate together
What is the mantra meditation for this immersion?
This 40 Day Meditation Immersion will offer the experience of the meditation "Praan Bandha Mantra Meditation."
How does this meditation apply to my life?
Praan Bandha Mantra collects, binds and commands life force. This mantra takes one beyond finite identity, merging with the unlimited sea of life; it forges a connection between the individual finite magnetic field and the Divine creative field of Life. With precise practice, one can experience deathlessness. This mantra can give the practitioner the capacity to embody a divine personality, and to become creative and fearless. This is what is called for in these times.
Within this 40-day meditation practice you can investigate and notice an increase in your ability to feel stillness, effectiveness and sensitivity in your life’s activities and relationships. As we progress through our experiences we will go deeper into the possibilities which open themselves to our applied conscious beliefs and attitudes. During the practice of the meditation over a long period of time (weeks, months, years or even our 40 days), one will experience the polarities of the proposed qualities. The leverage and practice of it will provide the means to clear the resistance to bringing the infinite into play within the finite life experience.
How will this 40 Day experience work?
We will meet each Friday (see schedule below) either IN PERSON or ONLINE to discuss, meditate and consider various facets of the mantra. Can't make the live session or want to experience it again? Recordings will be provided after each session, so you can continue with the group to fit your schedule.
As we break down the components of the mantra together, we will expand our ability to hold its various qualities as guidelines for our thoughts, perceptions and behavior. In addition to your personal experience of the sacred sounds, we will encourage participant interaction to share the challenges and developing qualities gained with our practice. We will also partner up to provide additional support in between sessions. You can attend the series with a friend or find new friends and discover an inclusive, vibrant and supportive community of devoted yogi(in)is.
As our meditative journey progresses, we will gradually build our practice together to investigate how this experience unfolds for us individually and as a collective. For your personal practice, it is not necessary to increase the duration, but you will have the opportunity to experience the longer meditations as we progress with our weekly meetings to see how we may notice these benefits of extended practice:
11 minutes: Changes glandular system and nerves.
22 minutes: Balances and coordinates the three minds.
31 minutes: Affects all the cells and rhythms of the body and all layers of the mind’s projection.
