Class Description

We will explore classical Hatha Yoga asana, mantra, mudra, pranayam and meditation practices focused on centering and grounding with a blend of movement and stillness, therapeutic activity, and deep relaxation. This is a balanced and integrative experience, offered with a spirit of playfulness and shared inquiry - safe and adaptive for all levels. Classes will rotate through each of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, opening with an introduction to each limb, Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi. It is not necessary to attend each week, as each class will be standalone, but regular attendance is encouraged! Recommended Props: Yoga Mat, Blanket, Bolster (or cushion), 2 Blocks (or books) + Strap (or belt)
